Kat Von D is my new hero.

I really am not the obsessive LJ user I used to be, when I would read, look at and comment to the stories and manips almost constantly. Then LJ (and fandom), was shiny and new, and became my main hobby. Could be any number of reasons for this I guess. The comics being one. Loving the Angel: After the Fall (and of course Spike is in that one), but hating the Buffy Season Eight doesn't help. Then that some of my favourite authors have either left fandom totally, or moved on.

The authors moving on is great, if I happen to be interested in the same fandom. But even then, no other fandom has quite captured me like the Buffy!Verse, and no other character is as close to my heart as Spike. So I may dip my toe in those fandoms, and read the odd story (with SPN mostly Gen or Crossovers), I do not see myself as getting a lot of new friends in the fandom. Same with Dr Who and Torchwood. So I guess that not only am I not as active in fandom, but not as active on LJ either. Guess for me the two went hand in hand.

David was supposed to be here today, but his brother is in the area, and his brother's knee is playing up. They are talking of doing a partial or full knee replacement if it gets more painful. Looks increasingly likely. This will be a blow for Tom, as he does a lot of driving as a solicitor, specialising in guns, mostly for gameskeepers at the estates. If he gets the knee replacement, he will be unable to drive for several months.

Right, so off to read some favourite fanfic from aforementioned authors, then see what happens on Dr Who tonight!

Ok, caught up with it now, but don't feel inspired nor have enough enthusiam to do a review. Just, knew they would do it, and hated it! *sigh* how corney can they get.....including what they did in the last panel. Could someone please have an original idea!

ETA I feel like leaving the whole BtVS verse behind. The total character assassination of Buffy Season Eight it so totally getting to me!

ETA #2 If it was not for Brian and Spike, I would leave the Joss!Verse!

Ok, finally got my comic, so thought I would do a review of it, if anyone is still interested.

I also have the Buffy Season Eight comic as well. I was going to wait until the end of the story arc to read them all at on go. That way I might avoid getting annoyed at something and stewing for a month, but I will read it.....Could talk about it in IM later Alex!

It has been great both times we have met, such a shame I cannot make it this August.

I had an offer to beta a fic if I wrote it. I was up to 4am talking about it, and it is becoming more and more a Supernatural story.....Set in Season three, but pretty AU (Well it has Spike and an origional female character in it). It is gen. So a poll, before I go and have a krack at writing it, as I feel so out of practice with writing, it is going to be hard work if I try, and I feel I may need a LOT of betaing, so hard work for my beta as well.

Would you read a Gen SPN/Buffy!Verse Fic (With Spike and an OFC)

My imagination has been all over the place this week. James dreams, Supernatural dreams, and last night a Dr Who dream.....complete with Nuns and Monks. I almost want to sleep my life away, cos my dreams are far more interesting than RL is, that is for sure!

The layout where my house is situated is that I am directly across from a road junction, with building on either side of the junction. The end result being, it is like a wind tunnel. On effect of this is that all the litter blows into the garden, which is ok, just annoying. Of course the weeds get blown in as well. So, I could just go with having a wild garden I guess.

The other effect, and the costly one, that fences get blown down. As it did this year during the winter. My neighour, with whom I share the fence undertook to manage getting the new fence, and we would share the cost. Which seemed fine. Now I have just seen the fence. Unseasoned wood, and no protection. I give it a couple of years at the most!

Honest this is brilliant, and we can even play a little game with it as well! How many of the TV Shows can you identify from the title music, before the credits? One everyone on my flist should get. That is the only clue!

I really feel I am not keeping up with my reviews. After my Buffy Season Eight and Angel: After the Fall got lost in the post, and it took almost a month for me to get my hands on them, I have kind of got out the habit of posting any reviews. There also seems to be a delay in anycase in me getting them. They used to arrive with a day, now they are taking up to a week. I feel by the time I get them, everyone else has moved on.

While Torchwood is over now, I never kept up with doing reviews of it either, and don't really feel like doing any for Dr Who. Both programmes seem to be just escapist fun, and I don't really feel like going into them in too much depth. I will read reviews by others, but don't really feel up to doing any myself.

With Supernatural, I would rather read what others are saying, and comment there. I find others enjoy meta far more than I do, I just think I will read it, and comments.

Of course, I do avoid Spoilers, so I don't read other people's reviews until after I have read/watched myself. Which totally leaves me out of the loop with the comics.

Talking about TV, which I was kinda, I watched Morning TV this morning, well up till they started flogging things and talking about doing up or buying houses. A total Blast From The Past! One of The Osmonds was on. Seems they are touring the UK. I think it was Merril, but I could be wrong. Reminds me of a couple of years ago when Ailsa dragged me to see David Cassidy, the older Osmond brothers and one of the Bay City Rollers in a concert. This time they seem to have Donny and Marie with them. Oh yes, took me right back to my teenage years! Well over 10 years old anyway.

Ok, got it right this time, I hope, for everyone who celebrates Mother Day today, I hope it is a great day.

Just an aside, do you know I had more spam for this mothers day than I did for the UK one. Market research where are you?
